The 3rd Annual Lake Week, July 22-29, 2017, is a great opportunity for visitors to explore Newfound Lake, learn about local conservation efforts, and have a whole lot of fun in our Bristol area.

Sponsored by the Newfound Lakes Region Association, whose mission is to conserve and preserve the lake, the week offers a series of events and activities. To help you plan your schedule—and we do hope you come visit!—here is a rundown of what’s happening. Some events require advance registration, so be sure to check the Association’s website for a complete listing of events, times, and specifics.

Saturday, July 22
9:00 a.m.: Environmental Expo and Scavenger Hunt at Grey Rocks
Also on the schedule: build-and-sail your own sailboat, New Hampshire Fish & Game Airboat Demonstration
9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: free mini Eco-Tours
1:30 p.m.: Around the Lake Sailing Race
Breakfast and lunch available from Bristol Rotary

Sunday, July 23
4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Camp Cooking Potluck
AMC Cardigan Lodge, 774 Shem Valley Road, Alexandria, NH
Includes short hike to Welton Falls, followed by campfire cookout at the lodge.
$10/person, includes dinner, but feel free to bring a favorite campfire snack

Monday, July 24
10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.: Discounted guided Eco-Tours: 2-hours on the NLRA Madelaine
Grey Rocks Conservation Area

Tuesday, July 25
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Paddle Northern Newfound Water Trail, guided tour with ecologist. Free boat rental through Newfound Audubon Center
7:00 p.m., Red Barn Presentation

Wednesday, July 26
8:00 a.m. (meet at 7:45 a.m.): Yoga & Hiking

Thursday, July 27
10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.: Discounted guided Eco-Tours: 2-hours on the NLRA Madelaine

7:00 p.m.: Kelley Park Concert

Friday, July 28
9:30 a.m. – noon: Music in the Mountains
10:00 a.m.: Discounted Audubon Friday Eco-Tour
1:00 p.m.: Discounted guided Eco-Tours: 2-hours on the NLRA Madelaine

Saturday, July 29
9:00 a.m.: Hebron Fair
