Coffeehouse. Lunch spot. Music club. The Purple Pit Coffee Lounge is a little bit of each of these—and excels at all of them. Located in the heart of downtown Bristol, New Hampshire, the Purple Pit is a great option for guests wanting to eat in, or to grab sandwiches for an afternoon of hiking, biking, or sightseeing.
Nestled on a street with fun boutiques and antique shops, Purple Pit offers a cozy atmosphere with mocha-colored walls, wood floors, and sun-filled windows. It’s known for its great sandwiches—and they truly are—with delicious choices, such as blackened turkey and a loaded-up veggie panini (or my favorite, the grilled chicken pesto panini).
On designated Saturday evenings, the Purple Pit turns into a cool club with blues, jazz, or swing music. A cozy back room with high-top tables and comfy couches provides the perfect setting for relaxing with a little wine, beer, or a latte and listening to some top regional talents. Next up on February 17, 2018, the Sandra Bedrosian Trio.
