We have ample on-site parking for trailers and a free boat launch at Wellington State Park, and local motorboat rentals are available at West Shore Marine. While there are 273 lakes and ponds in the Lakes Region, Newfound Lake is the “Jewel of the Lakes Region.” Acclaimed as one of the clearest large lakes in the world, Newfound is cherished by residents and visitors alike. Unlike many other large lakes in New England, Newfound Lake still has a vast amount of open space. Public access for boating lies at the Southwest end of the lake at Wellington State Park where there is also a beautiful beach for swimming.

The Lakes Region: Newfound Lake is acclaimed as one of the clearest lakes in the world. It offers public access for boating at Wellington State Park as well as a beautiful beach for swimming.
Lake Winnipesaukee being the largest of all the lakes in the area has many attractions including Castle in the Clouds, The Loon Center and Wright Museum of WWII History at the north end. Squam Lakes, home of the famous movie “On Golden Pond,” and its Science Center lies to the west. There are many places here for hiking, biking and boating. The tax-free Tanger Outlet Mall is located in Tilton, NH.
The White Mountains: Franconia Notch is located on the west side of the Kancamagus Highway and home of the famous Old Man of the Mountain. Several stops include the Flume Gorge Visitor Center, aerial tramway at Cannon Mountain, Alpine Adventure, Lost River and Woodstock Brewery. There are many scenic stops along the Kancamagus Highway with the White Mountain Valley on the East end of the highway. North Conway area has many historical stops that include, Mount Washington Auto Road, Cog Railway and Mount Cranmore to name a few. Tax-free outlet shopping is a must in North Conway.
